Rachel S. Bass (she/they) is a jewish, disabled narrative filmmaker based out of Los Angeles.
With a background in new work theater dramaturgy, disaster management, and planetary sciences, Rachel’s eclectic experiences influence her world-building and character development. They make pieces about finding hope through connection and community, often grappling with loss and evolutions of mundanity.
Rachel has completed the Consent Forward Artist Certificate from Intimacy Directors and Choreographers, Inc. In their free time, Rachel is a regular at trivia nights, reads cookbooks, knits with friends, and grows an arboretum in her living room.
